First: Genesis 3:9-15 - God curses the serpent which tempted Eve in the Garden
Psalm 129 - With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption / Out of the depths I cry to you Lord / If you O Lord, should mark our guilt / My soul is waiting for the Lord / because with the Lord there is mercy.
Second: I Corinthians 4:13 - 5:1 - .. when the tent we live in on hearth if folded up, there is a house build by God for as an everlasting home
Gospel: Mark 3:20-35 - Jesus went home with the disciples and there was a very large crowd: the scribes were saying the devil was in him but he replied "... if a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand." ... anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother and sister and mother.
Themes
Forgiveness. God's mercy and desire for love not ritual. The fullness of redemption.
