A sacristan prepares and sets up for the community celebrations of the Eucharist. This responsibility includes unlocking the entrance doors to the Church, turning on the lights, preparing the chalice, ciborium, water and wine, making certain that the Roman Missal and the Lectionary are set out, and checking with the celebrant for special circumstances for that liturgy. Volunteers are needed for the weekend or daily Masses and for Feast days.
