FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - YEAR B
Readings
First: Amos 7:12-15 - Amos explains that he didn't decide to be a prophet by himself, but that he did what God told him to do, even though the establishment didn't want him there.
Psalm: 84 - Let us see, O Lord, your mercy and give us your saving help / I will hear what the Lord will say / Mercy and faithfulness have met / The Lord will make us prosper
Second: Ephesians 1:3-14 - a poetic description of the beautiful way God deals with us - God chose us as His own.
Gospel: Mark 6:7-13 - Jesus sends the disciples out in pairs, taking nothing with them, to preach repentance and to heal — in the same way that the prophets did of old.
