TWENTY-EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - YEAR B
Readings
First: Wisdom 7:7-11 - The spirit of Wisdom came to me - compared to her, I held riches as nothing.
Psalm: 89 (90) - Fill us with your love that we may rejoice / Make us know the shortness of our life
Second: Hebrews 4:12-13 - The word of God is alive and active - it gets in everywhere, nothing can hide from God
Gospel: Mark 10:17-30 - What must I do to inherit eternal life? Sell everything you own and follow me. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than to enter the kingdom of heaven - but in God, all things are possible.
Themes
God's wisdom and omnipotence. Our richness lies in Christ, in God and eternal life - our call to follow this.
