Readings
First: Isaiah 53:10-11 - The Lord has crushed his servant with suffering .. by his sufferings the Lord shall justify many, taking their faults on himself.
Psalm: 32 - May your love be upon us O Lord, as we place all our hope in you / The word of the Lord is faithful
Second: Hebrews 4:14-16 - Jesus, though human, is the high priest who has gone to heaven - be confident in his grace and mercy
Gospel: Mark 10:35-45 - James and John say "let us sit one at your right and one at your left". Jesus' answer - Can you drink the cup that I must drink? The Son of Man came to serve, not to be served.
